The Annual Carlos Vieira Foundation’s Autism Day BBQ, presented by Simplot, is a completely free event that provides children with autism and their families a safe, supportive space to enjoy a day filled with carnival rides, games, crafts, a magic show, BBQ lunch, and more. Many of the families we serve have expressed how challenging public outings can be, so we’ve created an inclusive environment where judgment is replaced with joy, connection, and community.

Beyond the fun, this event encourages crucial developmental growth through social interaction and play, important elements in early intervention. It also raises awareness for our Direct-Help Grant Program and other available resources that provide financial assistance to local families for therapy, medical necessities, learning devices, and more.
